HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WONDERUL MOTHER

Today is my Mom's Birthday. I gave her a call and thanked her for being a good Mom and was remembering some fun stories that she has forgotten about. Growing up I will totally admit we were bratty kids--or as the Spark's would say "the King brats" We used to fight with each other and the last thing we would want to do was spend time at our own house finding other families homes more fun. My Mother would work a full time job and have to come home to inpatient kids waiting for dinner and having to do regular Mom duties. My Mom is a super hard working woman and kind hearted. I remember one time I had an argument with my Mom and got sent to my room and fell asleep and woke up to a little Smurf doll in my pocket. My Mom was not a strict Mom and I'm thankful for that. She put in late hours, put up with fighting kids--lots of sibling rivalry in our house which is something that she wasn't used too growing up as the youngest child in her family. But now that I have personally met my mate I am so thankful for everything that she has taught me. She raised kids to have manners, to be kind to others. To remember what life is all about. To live my life righteously, and to have a strong work ethic. Your a great Mom!!!Happy Birthday I hope it is a great one and I'm sorry that I'm not close to celebrate your special day with you. I love you Mom--your little helper Lisa

VEGAS

I was able to escape to Las Vegas with a few friends and have a fun Batchelorette Party. It was very overdue to relax and chill following a busy work season--I was ready to unwind. We stayed at the Planet Hollywood. We were at the pool made a trip to Cafe Rio and hit up a couple of fun clubs. I had a blast and I'm so thankful for the time to unwind and for my good friend Sarah to help put on the event. Here are some fun pictures

A SERIOUS MUST SEE

When I took Anatomy for Massage School it was so interesting that I felt everyone should take the class to see how the body works. Well I saw a great movie that I never got the chance to see in the theaters. Michael Moore's Capitalism--A love story
I loved his other movies and knew I would enjoy his latest. Everyone should see it--no matter what your political views---Why you ask? Because you will see that they are ALL crooks. He shows it to you--plain as day. Sign of the times? Probably. Is the way that we live now really the way Christ would like us to live? Probably not. What I like about the movie is that it isn't Michael Moore's opinion. He just asks questions and the people who have either worked with the government or the banks spell it out that it is a super crooked system. Rent it!!!!

MY FAVORITE SHOW

So many of you know that our family is really into "The Young and the Restless" I even explained it a little to Aaron while he was here. My brother even knows what is going on because Juline watches it as well. Well Ashley's baby wasn't really hers, it was Sharon's baby that was told died at birth. My favorite Character Phyliss had the opportunity to still keep it a secret after she found the lost letter that held the truth in it. She even got as close as to light a flame to possibly burn it. But she did the right thing and let everyone know that Sharon's baby was really alive. Sound silly? It might to others but I firmly believe that Y&R is the best show on TV.
