BOYS STINK

I know it sounds a little imature but it's true. Boys stink!! It sucks being single and being out there looking for my prince is ROUGH. I think I'm calling it quits. The challenge to go out into the universe and find a man as good as my Dad is squashed. Or as my friend Heidi would say "I'm done" (I might make up some T-shirts saying that). I have a feeling that before I came on this earth I had my list of everything I wanted to acomplish and I don't know if there was a mix up somewhere and my list went into the shredder or someone else got my list???
Sounds sad??--well it is!!! So the only thing I think of to do is really start writing my book. I think I might just start tape recording my storys because I can't type fast enough and then my sister could help out transcribing and editing it for me. I think it will be a best seller and when people realize how funny it is I'll take my act on the road!!!

SUMMER IS OVER

Summer is over. I had a good visit to Utah to see the family and visit with friends. It was strange seeing all the things in Utah that I miss living in California. The green mountains and all the F-16's flying over the house. I had fun playing with Adi and Kohen. They are getting so big and cute. Adi had a little sleep over at Grandma's house and it was fun to get all the little japanese toys out to play with. It was nice to visit with Grandma King in Kaysville. I feel bad I missed her party but I did get to see her on her 95th birthday. I got a chance to see an old neighbor that lived across the street and visit with her family. Dyan May was a year older than me but we were pretty food friends. We chatted non-stop that night and I'm thankful to her kids and husband for letting us catch up. We had lots to gossip about of who married who and who had passed away at such a young age.
I then got to visit with my cousin Melissa in Lehi and see her kids for the first time--which I feel bad about because her oldest is 6 so that tells you it has been awhile since I saw her.
A great visit but I was glad to get home. I hate leaving Mya for too long even though I had someone looking in on her and she doesn't even like me.
Then on Wednesday the 2nd I got to go to Disneyland with Jeff and Juline and the kids and Mom. I have been once but it was kinda a fluke and we were basically there for dinner and rode on one ride. So this trip I got to experience the whole park. I loved Space Mountain and riding the tea cups with Jeff as we spun around like crazy!! It was super hot and muggy--due to the monsoon's but there were no lines and it wasn't that crowded. Juline and Jeff said it was the best trip ever. It was so fun to see little Adi meet all the princesses and to hear her say her name was "Princess Adi". Oh and lets not forget the little ladies man Kohen. He LOVED the princesses. Such the little ham with all the pictures. While we were waiting for the fireworks show there was a little girl that saw Kohen and was putting on a little show for him to get his attention. She even crouched down like she was "dropping it like it's hot" I guess you had to be there to see it. I had a great time with them and I'm glad I went. Thanks Mom & Dad for the B-day present. I wish that Jenn and Dad could have come---maybe next time. Favorite parts of Disneyland---The monte Cristo sandwich, The tour guide on the safari ride--he cracked me up saying that the zebra was just taking a nap while the lions were protecting it. Adi saying that she wasn't scared during "It's a small world" Being the last one to get to meet Miney Mouse in line. Drinking that yummy cherry lemonade when it was so freaking hot and I felt like I might die--or my mother might have a heat stroke. Great Trip--I need to go more often!!! Oh sorry there aren't any pictures. I never bring my camera--so check out Jeff's blog

New Favorite Book

So i have decided that I get really passionate about stuff and tell everyone I know about it. I'm thinking I would be really good in PR because of this but Jenn says I would need a degree--so I'll pass on that. But in the meantime I am so passionate about the book "Why Men Love Bitches" by Sherry Argov. She also wrote "Why Men Marry Bitches" Now please don't get offended by the title. It's not telling you to be mean or cruel in any way shape or form. Just teaches you how to NOT be a doormat. When I read "he's just not that into you" I thought I would never make a mistake in the men department and after reading these books I realized I was making ALL the mistakes. I suggest every woman--married or single to read these books. It gives a great insight to that male perspective. I am learning so much and boy do I get lost of questions when I read them in public with the title displayed-- Check them out--AMAZON.com

IT WAS FREAKING STREP THROAT

I went to Girls Camp for a day and half and still had a sore throat although I was on Anti-biotics. I came home and suffered a day more then called the Dr. to see what the crap?? I went in on Friday and got another medication and called in sick to work and one of the girls there confirmed that she had strep and it was going around. I will feel bad if I spred any germs--although I doubt it because I was on a form of medicine. Z pack to the rescue I guess.
So I know everyone knows the scene in the movie The Matrixx where the girl needs to learn how to fly a helicopter and they install a memory program into her and she miraclously knows how to fly the machine. I wish this was possible. I would learn so many things--I'd really love to know everything a Dr. knows, a pharmisist, a vet and a mechanic. So some may think "Go back to school and learn this stuff" or as my Dad would proably say "read a book." But I would rather have the knowledge just planted in my brain. Oh that and I would love to be able to play the piano perfectly--with no lessons. I had a great teacher and she was right saying I would regret later quitting lessons. But the hard work just isn't for me!!! And school--I hate school. I hope my future kids like it because I will totally be on their side if they want a day or two off.

TONCILITIS IS FOR KIDS!!!!

On Thursday I started having a scratchy throat so I doped up on the Aiborne and the Echinacea. But as the days progressed It didn't go away and knowing that I am headed to girls camp on tuesday I would hate to be sick up on the mountain. I headed to the doctor Sunday morning and instead of hearing STREP THROAT or SINUS infection I was diagnoised with TONCILITIS?? And it does feel like I am swallowing a toncil. So where does one contract this when one isn't working and has mostly stayed at home all week?? Oh yes I remember--I touched a kid, twice. It was my friends kid and I doubt the child was ill but I have theory's about me and kids. My theory is they get me sick!!!!!
But Meds should kick in and I should be good to go to camp on Tuesday. Thank goodness I have lots of popcicles in the freezer!!!
I remember when we were little the three of us kids were always getting strep throat. There was always a bottle of pink anti-biotics in the fridge or when you got older you could opt for the pill form or if you didn't want the hassel and were feeling brave you would go for the Anti-biotic shot which hurt like hell and you Ass would be in pain for 24 hours. My Dad would always blame it on the dishwasher thinking it wasn't getting the dishes clean enough and thought we should clean them by hand. But the whole time it was my little bratty brother Jeffrey speading his germs to us. When he finally got his toncils out he was proably in the 2nd grade we never got strep again. I did feel for the little guy---He was on bed rest and was getting lots of fluids and popscicles and unfortunatly it was when the soda "SLICE" came out and my mom gave him some and it burned his poor little throat. I remember him screaming.

I'M GOING TO GIRLS CAMP

I'm headed to girls camp in August. They were needing more women to supervise the girls and came up short this year so I thougt it would be fun to get out of the heat and head to Big Bear (I've never been) It will just be overnight for me because I will be house sitting on the 5th but I will be taking up a couple of girls Tuesday morning and staying the night and then leaving late Wednesday night. I guess it's not a really roughing it type of girls camp and they have showers and everything---Totally different from when I went to camp. I'm excited to go as long as I don't have to hike. One year for girls camp they informed us that we were stopping at Mt. Tipanogas cave and never said it was going to be a freaking hike. We didn't even stretch before and if anyone has hiked that before knows it is straight up and paved with cement. I hate hiking and have a low endurance so I wasn't surprise that the severe obese girl in the ward made it up the hike before I did. So no hiking for me!!! I can't wait for the yummy camp food and I'm excited to wear a sweatshirt.

HOT SUMMER

Wow I'ts been hot down here. Summer is slow with work and I have been spending my days laying out at the pool. I'm getting a great tan but going broke at the same time. I am thinking about sending in a picture of my great tan to the State of California's department of Unemployment explaining to them what I have been up too. I guess that might get me in trouble?? But honestly I would rather be working. Unfortunatly with this heat no one comes down to the desert in July and August so it is a ghostown here. Thank goodness for dog sitting and some of my private clients that are still here.

VIP

I went out to a popular club last night in Palm Desert and got VIP status with some friends. It was fun dancing and chilling with friends. Well this super SEXY HOT guy was in the VIP section and he looked familiar to me like an old flame but it turned out to be Adnan Ghalib. Who is the hell is that your thinking?? He is the paparitzi photographer guy that was dating Britney Spears. I have always thought he was a hottie but oh ya--he is pretty to look at. I got the chance to walk by him and I smiled and said Hi and he smiled back and responded with a Hi back. Is the guy an A lister--no but he was HOT and famous enough for me!!! I love California!!!

I'M SO MAD AT NICK

I'm furious at Nick Newman. Why in the world he chose to be with Sharon over Phyliss is beyond me?? Sharon is a slutty mess and she deserves to be alone in life with her mistakes. Nick is my favorite charcter in the show and he and Phyliss are a perfect match and the fact that Sharon keeps getting in the way really upsets me. Ya so they had a couple of kids together and Sharon was his first love but it's over and only deserves Jack. But I really get mad when she goes to Nick for comfort and he gives it to her. Oh and don't even get me started on Adam---what a creep!!! I love Young and the Restless--best show on TV!!!

MTV MOVIE AWARDS

The MTV Movie Awards was on tonight and it was awesome. It had tons of Twilight stuff on it and Robert Pattenson looked amazing. They showed a clip of the upcoming New Moon and it looked killer good. It got me pumped to know it's coming out this fall and I will be first in line!!!
Oh let's not forget that it was the season finale of The Hills tonight. I freaking love that show and they are going to continue the show next season without Lauren and are going to add Kristen Cavalari--and I love that girl!!! I know that people think it's fake and stuff but I love to see the fashion and the hairstyles. Now that I live in Cali I have to keep up with the styles--with the exception of the headbands around the head--that is just tacky.

MEMORIAL WEEKEND

I was out Sunday night with a friend and I saw Dr. Rey and his little family from the Dr90210 reality show. As soon as I saw him I announced loudly "Hey there's the Dr. 90210 guy" My friend tried to shoosh me but it was too late. He was wearing his sunglasses (at night) and he was talking to his kids who were chatting back and his wife was right at their side (all 95 pounds of her) It's crazy to see celebrities out on the street. I would love to hit the streets of LA and catch a glimpse of all the stars. That is still on my list of things to do while I live here in California.

IT'S ALREADY MAY????

I can't believe it's already May?
Work is drying up and I am a little concerned what I am going to do for money this summer. Most of the clients leave the first week of May so most everyone is gone. Memorial weekend will be busy but it is early this year (who came up with that idea) and one of my jobs will end after that. I am thinking of picking up a waitress job. I figure I can work late at night because I'm still single and what is sleep? when I would rather have money!!! I am looking into restaurants that will be open late so I might end up at Denny's--who knows?? I have never been a waitress but I think my kick butt personality can smooth over any mistakes I might make when taking orders. When I went to Dennys to get an application the manager got all excited when I told him I was looking for a night job. I think he wanted to hire me on the spot. Now I live where there are super nice restaurants but with no experience I better stick to a basic diner type place. Somewhere I might already know the menu. I mean who doesn't love Denny's?? The SuperBird--that is a classic, especially late at night!!!

STONES RUN IN THE FAMILY

I have to admitt that so far this year has SUCKED!! I have been sick and missed alot of work and the money is running low. Work is picking up and I am trying to add myself on the books wherever I can. Spring Breaks are going on right now so it is bringing in more traffic to the Desert. Alot of people are avoiding Mexico so they are bussing alot of spring breakers into Palm Springs which is bringing in much needed money into our pockets. My parents are on a Hawaiian crusise and I wish I could have gone with them. I feel like I need a break although I haven't worked enough to earn one.
And another crappy add is that my baby Macey is sick. She has bladder stones and needs surgery. There is no way that I can afford the cost of surgery for her so we are trying to break up the stones by changing her diet and medication. She seems fine but she still has blood in her urine and she is a pee pee machine--poor thing. I hope that she gets better I would be heartbroken if I lost her. She is 12 and I know that she can't love forever but it would be a devastating loss that words could not explain. I got her when alot of my friends were having babies and she was mine. She is my best buddy and she is always at my side--except when I talk on the phone. She will get up from a deep sleep and go under the bed--weird? Maybe I talk too loud?? I love you Macey, Get Better!!!

SICK OF BEING SICK

Dammitt!! I'm sick again. I'm sick of being sick. I hate missing work and I ended up not working at all this weekend because of a bug. I feel like crap and there is no one here to take care of me--which makes it worse. And no the Merry Maids don't come either. I think of all the money I missed out on making and it makes it worse. I do my best to take care of myself--I take vitamins, what the heck I can't catch a break. Too many hospital visits this year and too many sick days off so early in the year. I am a workaholic and I hate not making money. Especially since it has been super slow this season. Hopefully I will start feeling better tomorrow and things will look up.

A MUST SEE MOVIE

I saw Confessions of a Shopaholic over the weekend and loved it. I laughed out loud throughout the entire movie. The fashion was amazing and Isla Fisher is a great actress in this film. And guys--if you get dragged to this movie I promise you will enjoy it as well. Watching this movie gets me excited for the new Sex and The City movie that is in the works. I was kinda sad to see one of my favorite actresses Joan Cusack playing an older mom. I don't think she is that old and it was a little far fetched for me. But it was a MUST SEE!!!!

STRESSED OUT!!!!!!

I'm a little stressed out. Things haven't been going the way I would like them to go these last few days. I hate the U.S. Postal Service. They suck!! It's all about UPS. Let's see....I caught a little bug that was going around and was sick for a few days. I'll thank Kyleigh for that one. I was already exhausted from being sick but I babysat the kids friday and saturday night and when saturday rolled around I had promised to send the kids to bed early and get to bed early to recover but ended up staying up till midnight doing Kyleigh's homework. I had to wake up early that next morning and get myself ready for work and start some laundry, clean up after the dogs and make the kids breakfest. Then go to work. I was such a MOM. Now I don't know how all you MOM's do it? Plus I get paid and I know you don't.
Work has been busy which is a good thing and this is where I can relax--which seems weird because I do really work hard but I get in to the zone and it really calms me down. My internet went down and had to get a new router which is frustrating because if anyone knows me knows I'm retarded when it comes to that stuff but this is where I give my props to UPS. I called Verizon sunday night and I got my new router Tuesday morning--Oh ya FYI UPS doesn't take off all thoes stupid government holidays like the postal service.
Hopefully things will get better because my parents are coming to see me on Sunday and are going to stay for a week. The weather is looking sunny so I am hoping for a better week. But seriously I am thankful that I still have my job and that besides the sniffles I am healthy and I have my family to love. And last but not least Macey and Mya are always there to keep me company.

GREAT MOVIE

I watched SMART PEOPLE last night and I thought it was brilliant! Of course you know I love Sarah Jessica Parker but this movie had such great writing the movie just flowed so well. The time flew by while watching it and I love when movies don't have a point where you feel you can get up during it to take a break. Dennis Quaid looked terrible and I would never kiss him looking that way but he protrayed the character of the miserable professor where all his students hate him and he is just going throught the motions of life perfect. Ellen Page had fantastic lines in this movie and is going to do great things in her movie career. Thomas Haden Church's role in the movie was classic. This is a must see if you haven't seen it already. Rent it tonight!!!!

THIS MASCARA ROCKS!!

If your looking for that Kardashian long lash look--you should buy this Loreal mascara. It is the double extend with the beauty tubes. It is a two step process so it takes a lttle longer to apply. But it works!! A little hint to make the lashes super long is to not let the white step dry after you apply the dark coat. Then re-apply to make them longer--Check it out. Usually the drugstores have it on sale.

10 TIMES

I had a scary little trip to the emergency room yesterday. I went to work and started having terrible chest pains. My co-workers suggested that it was indigestion from my lunch but I had never felt that kind of pain in my life. My boss hooked me up to the blood pressure machine and I had a high reading. And I also took some tums hoping it was just indigestion but when word got around the club that I was having chest pains several members insisted that I head to the E.R. They rushed me right in and gave hooked me up to an EKG. I then met the doctor and he recognized me from the club and promised he was going to take extra good care of me. They were going to start an IV and get me some pain killers to ease the pain. When the first nurse came in to start the IV I told him good luck and warned him that I have terrible veins and that they are super deep. After the second guy attempted to get a vein he hit a tendon and talk about pain. I was in tears and the EX-Ray guy felt bad for me that I was crying. They later gave up on starting an IV and just focused on getting blood. Three more people later and they finally got blood. I counted 10 pokes and two blown veins. My tests came back with normal readings and the doctor diagnosed me with Costcochrondritis. It is inflamation in the rib cartilage and causes major chest pain. I was so glad it wasn't indigestion but glad it wasn't something worse. They were concerned it was a blood clot in my lungs but thank goodness it wasn't.
My parents were worried about me and I think they realized how far away I am from them. I'm grateful I have good friends and I know I always have my awesome church leaders close. I have the next couple of days off to recover. I feel like someone beat me up and my arms are a mess. I'm affraid that I am on the wall of shame at the hospital. I was definately a challange to the staff that day.

I LOVE SJP

I love Sarah Jessica Parker. I have to admitt that it took me awhile to apreciate her especially in Sex and the City where the fashion to me seemed crazy. But I just love her little quirks that she has. She has a little scream that is more of a squeal and she makes that noise it in all her movies. I was feeling nostalgic and watched the first of Footloose today and boy has her look changed. I loved her in Girls just want to have Fun back in the day and I love everything that she has recently done. I know many of you think she is UGLY and can't stand her (Jeff) but she is one of my favorites.

FUN WEEKEND

I had a fun weekend with the Roberts kids. I got to watch them overnight and we had a blast. Tyler had a big report due Tuesday that we had to work on. It was an essay about the book Farenheit 451. I never read the book back in the day and as I read the notes that he pulled off the internet I quickly learned that the book is totally stupid. I hated the whole force you to read certain books back when I was in school. When I was in the 6th grade we had to read a short story about the Martins coming to town and as I was reading, it didn't make any sense to me. Who the hell are the Martins? And why do I care if they are coming to town? It wasn't untill later I realized it was the Martians --as in space aliens. Am I dyslexic, retarded, maybe a little!! But I am good at the BS and I can write up a good essay. Tyler and I worked good as a team and we --or maybe more "I" came up with a good paper. Kyleigh also had homework but it was Math and I informed her that she was all on her own and that she proably knew more about math at her age of 12 than I did at the age of 33.

Palm Desert Rocks!!!

The weather has been awesome down here in the desert with high's in the 80's.
If you are cold and are having to scrape windows off in the mornings--too bad, soo sad!!! I could lay out and get a tan. So why am I bragging about this? Maybe to get some visitors???
My parents are coming at the end of February and that will be great to see them. If anyone else wants to warm up--come see me!!

A NEW YEAR

2009 is here!!! The holidays came and went. I wished I could have spent them with my family but I was with friends and had fun. I got food poisioning X-mas day and will never eat at Jack in the Box again--just the thought of an eggnog shake makes me ill. I was with the Roberts kids New Years and had fun with them.
I am excited for the work "Season" to start. The snowbirds are coming!!! This is where I make most of my money and I am ready for the hard work ahead. I didn't make any new years resoultions--just a thought to make 2009 better than 2008--which I personally thought went by super fast. I'm getting older and can't believe that I turn 34 this year--and Macey will be 12 in the spring. Times flies I guess.
I'm looking forward to the May reuinion in the summer and seeing my family as much as I can. Hopefully I will get to spend time in Utah during the summer and enjoy my super cute niece and nephew. Happy New Year!!!!
